Job Description |
The Robarts Book Room is a small used bookstore located within Robarts Library at the University of Toronto. The collection consists of donated material from the University’s community. The donated items are reasonably priced and collected funds are used to support library projects. | The Robarts Book Room Volunteer may be tasked with the following activities: • Empty book donation bin • Sort books into predetermined categories • Move books from one shelving unit to another • Help people locate topics and/or specific books • Help keep the Book Room and the areas it occupies neat and orderly • Promote Book Room activities via Social Media Qualifications: Volunteers should be reliable, possess excellent communication skills, and be fluent in English. An ability to adhere to institutional policies is essential. Above all, candidate must be enthusiastic, engaged, and willing to learn.
