Job Description |
The Timmins Public Library is seeking a Child and Youth Services Librarian who is passionate about inspiring children and youth to develop a lifelong love of reading. Reporting to the Assistant Library Director, the Child and Youth Services Librarian is a bilingual, enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual who shares the library’s commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate is excited to provide guidance, knowledge and support to a small team, develop and deliver highquality programming and activities. The Child and Youth Services Librarian will create an environment where individuals of all backgrounds and abilities can engage, learn and enjoy the transformative power of literacy, in an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. The Child and Youth Services Librarian provides oversight of the services dedicated to children and youth, including outreach to local schools and community organizations. They play a crucial role in planning the Library’s participation in community events, further engaging and enriching the lives of children, youth and their families. |
