Job Description |
The Rotman Research Institute (RRI) at Baycrest Academy for Research and Education is a premier international centre for the study of human brain function, with a focus on memory and cognition, both in healthy aging and in conditions affecting the brain, such as stroke, brain injury, depression, and dementias.
RRI has recently become an Open Science (OS) institute with the support of the Tannenbaum OS Institute. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic OS Manager to lead our institute in this exciting initiative. The broad scope of our research, which includes neuroimaging, clinical trials, qualitative interviews and cognitive experiments, makes this a challenging but stimulating endeavour. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual who is passionate about OS. The successful applicant will have a Master’s degree (or higher) in computer science, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or psychology (or equivalent); experience working in the research community; strong interpersonal and communication skills; and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a working knowledge of the OS landscape, the research process, data management and research ethics as it pertains to OS. Experience in project management, training of researchers and health professionals, and advanced skills in data analysis, database management, programming or (neuro)informatics are all assets. |
