Submitted on Friday, June 09, 2017

A team of four UXD  students have won first place in the student design competition at the 2017 User Experience Professional Association (UXPA) International Conference.

The Student Design Competition is an on-site competition among student teams who work through the iterative design process and convince a jury of the user experience professionals merits of their design solutions. The design problem for this year’s competition was: Designing a Smart Shopping Assistant. The students competed with students from top international UXD programs; the team from University of Texas, Austin placed second, while the team from Pace University in New York placed third.

The Faculty is extremely proud of our talented students. Congratulations to Olivia Doggett (2nd year UXD), Jaisie Sin (1st year UXD), Allen Li (1st-year UXD), and Serina Shi (UXD 1st year) and to their UXD professor Dr. Olivier St-Cyr.
