Job Description
The Archives of Women’s College Hospital (WCH) is offering a 12-week summer student employment opportunity as an Archives Assistant to complete an arrangement and description project for the records of the hospital’s Centre for Wise Practices in Indigenous Health.

Applicants should be in the process of completing a university degree in archival science, information management, history, museum studies, or related discipline. Indigenous candidates will be prioritized given the nature of the work.

Qualifications:

– Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

– Good computer skills

– Have some archival training and/or experience working in an archives

– Some familiarity with the Rules for Archival Description (RAD)

– A lived experience and understanding of Indigenous cultural beliefs and practices
